Vault of Heaven (VoH) starts soon in AR. As usual, we’ve got the freeloaders/super-casuals/lemmings/trashmemers calling the mode things like “All Whales Go To Heaven” and misconstrued things of that nature.
In reality, it’s plenty PLENTY doable to go to VoH and even STAY (rather than oscillate) as a completely F2P player. What you DO need to do it is some dedication and brainpower. Oh no, dedication and brainpower. How do I wallet those.
And EVERYONE wins from this update. AR21 coasters won’t have to deal with the tryhards in higher tiers, and higher tier players will get the challenge we’ve been thirsting for by matching up with fellow higher tiers. Everyone gets more rewards in the end.
I imagine my f2p account will oscillate between VoH and AR23-28, as I don’t focus very much on AR with it (the main purpose of my alt is to just try random toys I don’t have on my main, but that doesn’t tend to happen as often with its luck lately lol), but I can consistently reach at least AR27 with the increased scores (week 109), and then if it doesn’t stay in VoH, starting at AR23 instead of AR21 will make getting back to AR27+ that much easier.
Main’s goal is obviously staying in VoH forever though

On a sidenote, I really don’t feel for the gacha jumpers/casuals/whatever who keep playing game after game with no sense of dedication to any single one of them.
Gacha is terrible, FEH and Tales of the Rays are the last ones I’ve sworn to play. Rays gacha is mostly horizontal too, as playable characters are free to get, and artes are just the bonus. I guess Pokemon Masters is in there too, but I’m just coasting f2p on it because I don’t find any trainers to be waifu/husbando enough for it, and my one husbando Charizard is complete on it already. Genshin looks fine but is also a massive timesuck from what I’m seeing hubby play of it, so I’d rather be focusing on my actual backlog and replaying games I’ve been meaning to play for years and years. Yeah… gacha systems need to die. The ones I support right now are for extremely personal reasons and these will not transfer to anything else. :X
