As everything and anything to do with SDR is just depressing and i hope the mode dies in a fiery ball of hell like relay defense did (definitely not as likely considering they gave it its own BGM, sadly), I’ll give a few thoughts on less depressing matters and hopefully more constructive.
I remember someone mentioning speed is the “best aging stat” but it’s not something I 100% agree on–i don’t think any particular stat has “aged” best, but there’s a thing to note when stats like Atk and Spd are the most powercrept things in the game’s lifespan. It’s hard to argue that Dodge skills are anywhere near as impactful as they were after just a couple months after their release, as so many meta relevant units have comparable speed stats to make the differences needed for the effect, which then makes the entire dodge effect a waste.
Another boy of constructive criticism… Instead of live PvP, I wish they would implement a mode that would make more actual use of my full barracks. AA was the one mode that let me do that to a certain extent every week. With that mode getting traded off for live PvP garbage, it just motivates me that much less to invest in anything outside of arena/AR scoring.
Pokemon Masters just released a mode that lets players use LITERALLY EVERY UNIT THEY HAVE in an all-out gauntlet. Tales of the Rays has this mode too. I realize FEH would meet some challenges implementing something similar because they easily release 3-4x more units per month compared to these games, but it’s still something they should work on implementing if they want to keep people’s interest in the game for long term. Things are way too emphasized on the newer units with special prfs these days. Every non-prf skill/weapon etc has lacked any sort of REAL relevancy for a long time (except trace skills).
A real all-out gauntlet mode…. I want it. It could be a monthly refresh like Tales tower mode. They could replace monthly quests with it (substitute the orb rewards by completing a simplified number of stages in the gauntlet instead of having to do dumb stratum 10 forty times every month…ughhhh), and best rewards could cap out at say 50 or so maps (rewards for maps after could be the usual dumb RNG medals/feathers/pots/dueling crests/badges that they do for other events). With 50 maps, that’s already forcing 200 characters used, and tryhards like me could just continuously farm out more maps using the bottom barrel of my barracks just for that small RNG chance of 50 feathers and shits. They could even add restrictions to give the monthly quests feel back in–forcing all of a specific movement type, forcing all of a specific game, etc. Allow people to suspend their run after each map like they do in AA. It wouldn’t take THAT much work to implement, just about everything I’ve listed is just a mishmash of things they’ve already implemented in the game…….. What gives, IS
God I want something like that so much more than live PvP, can I bitchslap the person who thought implementing that instead of this gauntlet mode was a good idea…
