Gonna be honest, people kind of sleeping on LCorrin…

I know I definitely “slept” on LChrom’s release (at least I’ve finally gotten a good start on him with +spd from his rerun), but I shall be amused when people start venting their frustrations about trying to fight her repeatedly in the PvP modes. It’s fairly difficult to foresee from her kit on paper, but solely on her base kit with Shield Pulse, she has 100% uptime for her special in each round of combat if no Guard/Pulse Smoke effects happen. So on turn 1, her special is ready–Enemy attacks, meaning special will proc to mitigate damage and retaliate with Draconic Aura. But most people aren’t seeing that THAT RETALIATION ATTACK counts towards the next special charge ALREADY. So as long as she retaliates once, her built-in weapon gives her the (Heavy/Flashing) Blade effect to bring that 2-charge Negating Fang back to ACTIVATION READY, just like that.

I’m actually quite glad she ISN’T like LChrom because LChrom is an actual nightmare to deal solely because of movement shenagigans imo (exacerbated by being combined with LAzura on water season). Instead, she’ll likely be combined with LEliwood (at least I am heh), where she’ll likely receive the Bonus Doubler buff. If the opponent doesn’t have Panic ready, they better have some other crazy way to hard counter the monster that she becomes. Stacking +17 to all stats from a brainless AI is no joke (5 from weapon, 6 from Eliwood C Skill+Rally, 6 from Bonus Doubler).

I was torn between +atk and +spd… yes +spd is all the meta these days, but the +atk superboon and the LEliwood synergy was too much for me to pass up, so I followed through with +atk in the end. I also feel like the extra 5 dmg from every special proc using +atk superboon will matter more often than the 3 points of speed. IV Trait Fruits are coming next month, so if it really turns out I end up regretting this decision, the option to change without using a merge will be there. I’ve already seen someone run a defense with two +10s of her with both IVs though, LOL. Naturally, the +spd one is using NFU instead of Shield Pulse. Her fodder with Joint Drive Attack and DC is too good to waste on just changing IVs so I’ll have to see how it goes in the long run~

Not sure where I’ll really be using her yet, but Light season is tempting. As I mentioned before, I actually struggle more in Light season than Astra because of the defense mythics like Brami combined with things like Eliwood that I haven’t really completely solved yet. Honestly, thinking to use my first Trait Fruit on my Light BIke to change him to +spd and run him with NFU. I already do this with my Astra BIke. I scoffed at +spd BIke when his refine came out, but it has turned out to be the best aged skillset with all that NFU can do now. NFU itself was way too niche back then… certainly not anymore.

I have Leila paired with Broadleaf Dorothea for Light presently… If Broadleaf meta starts becoming an issue, I’m leaning towards this Faye monster instead… Faye’s armor movement intimidates me however, and I’ll much need to be running Spd/Res Solo seal rather than Armor Boots to get that speed stacking in. +4 speed from Peony blessing, +6 from Spd/Res Solo, +3 from support BLucina, and potentially what else Peony can give from dancing/existing.

Honestly I have a ton of “options” for Light season, but DRAGONFLOWERS is what kind of holds me back when it comes to all the infantry… but this armor is ready since all the other armors have been pretty poopy. XD;
So all in all, things pending for Light season but not really decided on:
-Dorothea (paired with Leila)
-Gangrel (paired with Leila)
-V!Faye (paired with Leila)
-V!Alm
-Ashnard? But likely benching after his bonus week here (lacks player phase).
